A team is a team because of a shared goal. A high performing team starts with having that goal aligned with every single member's personal purpose. In a high performing team:
Team members understand why they do what they do;
They are aligned in how the team get to the goals;
They are clear in terms of their roles and accountabilities; and
They check back regularly to ensure they are on track and progressing.
Visioning
A vision statement is a statement of accomplishment. It conveys what great looks like and feels like. A compelling vision statement gives the team and its members a sense of identity, and help to start defining what the priorities are.
Strategising
Strategy is the "how" to the "what". The vision statement is inspiring, but is often not clear in terms of how it is achieved. The "Strategy House" develops the clarity and the necessary guardrails to provide a balance between alignment and empowerment to team members to do their best work.
Planning
Planning provides the quantity to the quality. Addressing the Kipling's questions of how, when, who, what, where provide team members of the certainty and stability to focus and deliver, knowing the roles they play and how the team can work together.
Reviewing
Plans are never guaranteed as the environment is ever changing. Regular reviews allows for course correction and for the team to contract with each other for required support and resources.
